tubthumper 0 Posted October 2, 2015 Hi all, Can anyone identify this movement please, I want to put a yuki dial on this 5513 . Yuki offers 2 types of fittings , either Rolex fitting or eta fitting but I don't know which to get . Also , I've heard talk about an eta adapter ? Would I need one of those ? Any help would be great Dial shot This is the dial I would like Cheers guys:)
Genius 281 Posted October 2, 2015 Looks to me like a 2813 so don't think either yuki dial will fit

tubthumper 0 Posted October 2, 2015 I assumed the watch was a cartel model and I'm sure I've seen threads where yuki dials were fitted to cartel watches . I'm not happy with the hour markers including the triangle at 12 , they're too small! So it's either a new dial or get it re lumed to a more accurate looking dial. Having said that , if the feet are cut on the dial couldn't dial stickers be used to fix it to the movement ?
Genius 281 Posted October 2, 2015 Probably if the dial fits the case
tubthumper 0 Posted October 2, 2015 That's what I was thinking ! But you get a set of hands with the yuki dial , would they fit on the stem of this movement I wonder?

Genius 281 Posted October 2, 2015 You could cut the dial feet and use the hands you already have
tubthumper 0 Posted October 2, 2015 You could cut the dial feet and use the hands you already have Yes I've thought of that , but the lume on the hands I have is yellowed so it wouldn't look right . Are there any other suppliers who does good dials that fit this movement?

ROLIE 46 Posted October 2, 2015 Dial dots from cousins uk or the bay and stick the dial on after you have removed the dial feet from the raffles dial...
tubthumper 0 Posted October 2, 2015 Dial dots from cousins uk or the bay and stick the dial on after you have removed the dial feet from the raffles dial... I have some dial dots , any tips on how to remove the feet from the dial ? All new to me lol!
ROLIE 46 Posted October 2, 2015 try a pair of side cutters or nail clippers then gently file down the bits that are left a nail file will do, just be careful when you are doing it . then place dial dots away from any pivot jewels and stick the dial on, you should have no problem lining it up as the dial has no date window..... tubthumper 0 Posted October 4, 2015 Yes, I'm a bit unsure about changing the hand set , I have the tools but i guess we have to start somewhere!
Genius 281 Posted October 4, 2015 To be honest I don't like messing with hands, I've done work on watches before even re built an auto wind bridge but if the job involves changing hands then I'll get someone with proper skills to do it. last couple of times I tried fitting hands I bent one of them
