edwinowl 180 Posted October 4, 2015 You'll be fine bro. We all gotta start somewhere. Second hand is the trickiest. Use a piece of rodico or blue tack and gently probe the end of the second hand into it. Use a cocktail stick then inserted into the other end of the rodico and position it over the pinion. Get your loupe and ensure its in the correct position over the pinion and gently ease it on. Simples.
tubthumper 0 Posted October 4, 2015 I've practiced on an old broken sub put them on and off a few times but I'm rather impatient and don't want to wait weeks to get the watch back so I'm going to have a go:)

If I recall the DG doesn't hack so as soon as its on you'll know as she'll be off and running. I have a proper hands tool which won't mark the surface. Just be careful. tubthumper 0 Posted October 4, 2015 When you say hack , do you mean that when the crown is pulled right out the second hand stops? If so this does stop ! And what does DG stand for ? Sorry for my ignorance!
edwinowl 180 Posted October 4, 2015 Yeah wasn't too sure as I've not used one in a while. It's just the model number I think. http://www.allwatchparts.com/-Chinese-Automatic-DG2813-Mechanical-Movement_p_925.html I find it easier to attach the second hand when the movement is running
