Gazzla 23 Posted November 13, 2015 Hey Gang Picked this up recently; Seiko Kinetic diver, perfect 42mm case, super duper lume, nice bracelet that extends beyond the 20mm lugs. A leather strap would look a bit stupid I think. It's quite heavy at 200g, but a very nice piece indeed! Pics: Gaz
elp 26 Posted November 13, 2015 That is a very nice watch indeed - thanks for taking the time to photograph and share!
Robin195959 2 Posted November 13, 2015 That's a great looking watch and the pictures as always are awesome.
Piccolo 674 Posted November 13, 2015 Great pics as always. I like those oversized lug holes for the bracelet. Are they screw down ends?
RussP 22,655 Posted November 13, 2015 So, tell me: Do Seiko kinetic watches tick or sweep ? It's the only thing that has precluded my obtaining one to date. Seiko make some beautiful quartz wall clocks that sweep, silently..................hence my inquiry.

RussP 22,655 Posted November 13, 2015 Thanks Gaz. Will continue to steer clear for now. Makes me wonder why they can't use their 'clock' technology in their 'watches'. Seems simple enough................but what would I know ?

Seems simple enough................but what would I know ? If they made quartz with a sweep, which is entirely possible, it would change the whole ball game. rawbaws 91 Posted November 13, 2015 I personally don't understand why more makers don't use sweeping quarts movements. The size of most Bulovas makes me tend to think the movements might be quite large?

A business opportunity exists......................................any venture capitalists on the forum see an opportunity ? :dunno:
Mike on a bike 0 Posted November 14, 2015 Not all of the Bulova's w/ sweep are big I have a medium to small size one depending on how you think.. 40 X 11 http://www.amazon.co...e/dp/B003P1OGN8
corsa 0 Posted November 14, 2015 Beautiful shots Gazzla. Having owned the exact same watch for a few years I can confirm what an awesome watch it is. Fully charged its got 6 months of battery (Well, capacitor but you know what I mean), Waterproof as only Seiko know how and beautifully finished with brushed and polished edges. Seriously I've owned watches that cost x10 as much as one of these and aren't finished as well. Good score.

k3rm87 181 Posted November 14, 2015 Lovely mate, have a kinetic GMT in the post on it's way to me now... can't wait to strap it to my wrist.
Del 4,529 Posted November 14, 2015 Very nice Gaz! I've often admired this model so it's nice to see your excellent pics.
Daywatch 4 Posted November 14, 2015 Fantastic pics, thanks for these. The Seiko is impressive. Microsteppers consume 5x 6x 7x as much power on each (micro-tick) of the seconds hand, consumers allegedly favour a long battery life.
MoveAlong 23 Posted November 14, 2015 Grrrr... Like I don't have enough black divers already, and then you go and post this...
