I am a bit confused here . what should i get , and are those two movements , automatic , or is one automatic and the other is hand wind ? Cheers .
BadPickle 2,749 Posted November 15, 2015 Have a butchers at this http://www.asthewatchturns.com/?page_id=112 Then have a shuffty here http://m.zenith-watches.com/en_en_m/pilot-type-20-extra-special-197.html Without any knowledge whatsoever about the 2 movements, it seems that zenith uses its own "in house" movements for these anyway. Maybe they've renamed and modified th 2892?? You could always Google for more tech info I'm sure one of the wannabes will be along soon.
BadPickle 2,749 Posted November 15, 2015 It's a lovely watch though, I'm waiting for the bronze version Keep us posted if you decide to buy mate

MoSin 0 Posted November 15, 2015 I would wait for this: I am Thinking about getting the Asian 2824-2 Automatic Movement, 28800vph as Toro told me by PM , it's not about the Price , but it's a More reliable Movement . and Damn that Bronze version is just epic , i would wait for the bronze one but dunno when the hell are they goin to make it ? still Bronze would be my choice as-well , as i have a Stainless steel collection , a bronze one will be an addition . And BTW it's my second rep . after i got the first rep , damn , i just being robbed by the watch makers ...... Those Reps look just exactly the same , some really small differences , but still nobody will notice unless a watchmaker himself beleive me , soon they're will be reps that can't be recognized as reps . Cheers mate .

nikobrutus 0 Posted November 16, 2015 oh boy.....the bronze is what I'm waiting for.... damn was hoping it was gonna be cheaper than that!
MoSin 0 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) LOL , you're all waiting for the bronze , and now after the price tag , you just got disappointed >>>>>>>> And Also , On the KW , i've noticed it's more Copper than Bronze if i am not mistaken , bronze is some where between Brown metallic and yellow copper . this one on KW looks Copper version to me . I got the Silver one By The way , The Bronze would've been nice , but same for the Silver , it's all about the strap , a Strap collection can make a watch look different . dmmoroney 0 Posted December 7, 2015 http://www.kuvarsit.watch/zenith-en/1-1-zenith-pilot-type-20-extra-special-bronze.-best-edition-from-kw/ As MoSin said, the Gen is a dirtier/darker color and the Rep is a really clean bright color. I wonder why that is?

I wonder why that is? Because it is new bronze. Let it ossidate for some weeks and it will be the same.
dmmoroney 0 Posted December 7, 2015 I'm familiar with oxidization lol, so Zenith just allows theirs to age prior to shipping. I see that the Rep is a Bronze/Copper alloy, I believe the Gen is just Bronze, no copper?

dmmoroney 0 Posted December 7, 2015 Ah, OK. The Zenith site just says Bronze, but the Reps say Bronze/Copper Alloy.
elp 26 Posted December 7, 2015 Ah, OK. The Zenith site just says Bronze, but the Reps say Bronze/Copper Alloy. Bronze can look very different depending on the degree of oxidation. Search the forum for Pam 382 - lots of different pictures at different stages. For the dark brown effect I suggest treating with liver of sulphur.

Look at this example: http://forums.watchu...g-698543-4.html I think that's the look you're going for? The good thing is you can play with different looks and decide what works for you ... here's another example
dmmoroney 0 Posted December 7, 2015 Wow, that is pretty cool. That's got that Statue of Liberty patina look. I do prefer the first one though.
dmmoroney 0 Posted December 7, 2015 I just noticed, looking at the bronze pilot on Perfect Clones, the movement is listed as a Miyota 9015, 21 Jewel. Isn't the Miyota 9015 24 Jewels?
Hotdogsaregood 1 Posted December 10, 2015 Anyone order one of these in bronze yet? I'd love to hear some first-hand opinions on the rep.
