AP or Cartier Rep

Recommended Posts

Hey all. I am relatively new here and have been reading a lot about various watch replicas. I am debating between getting an AP rep or Cartier rep but I have a few questions before I do so. I appreciate any feedback.

I am looking for a watch replica in the $300-$400 range and trying to stay near the 2824-2 movement (if applicable) and away from the 9015 movement because of a lot of reviews I have read. I prefer a watch that has a decorated movement to look similar to the real thing.

I've done a lot of research on AP and their Royal Oak style watches. I currently found a Royal Oak Rep that has pretty close dimensions and a 2824-2 Asian clone movement on Trusty Time.

I recently got interested in Cartier as well but haven't done a whole lot of research on them.

Any suggestions for what I should look out for? I was interested in a Cartier similar to this:

But the reps that I've seen are 2mm larger. Is that a noticeable difference?

My main concern is that is it close to the real deal. I realize that no rep will be perfect (hence paying less than 10% of the real price) but would like the dimensions to be less than 1mm off if possible. I would like to not get called out.

Again thank you all for the information on this forum!

I dont know which things you've read about the Miyota 9015 but they're in my experience the best movements found in reps.

I'd take a 9015 over a 2824/2836 any day of the week.

Go for this one: http://www.torobravo...product_id=1779

Measurements on TDs website are all over the place. I'm quite sure that the Calible is 1:1 in case size.

If you read 44mm, it probably includes the crownguards.
