I love that thing - fond of the 305 on which it's based, but the bronze case and green dial just set it off for me. And yes, the concept of the case gradually acquiring a vintage patina suggests that Panerai are not without a sense of irony :)

Now, if I could just win the damned lottery, I'd buy one of those... :D

Not a fan of the green dial..Guess it'll match the green patina the bronze will take in time..

I like how they've gone down the 'vintage' strap look, and obviously tied it in with the patination aspect, could it be that they've taken note of recent developments in the VDB 'vintagising' world :)

All I know is that these new vintage straps they are using look like a POS!

I'll admit that the concept of brand new cracked leather straps is one that I find amusing (even though I own one!).

That is really smart - love the bronze/green combo. Looks like it belongs on a multi-million dollar yacht .

Saw this online this morning and then searched for "bronze" here and saw this thread just started yesterday.

This piece is unbelievable!!! LOVE IT.

Any chance they'll rep this? Just a different material, they should already have the tooling, right?

Would this turn your wrist green? That's a potential hazard downside... Maybe the reason the caseback is SS?

Also saw in iW that there will be a "NYC" limited edition with Lady Liberty engraved on the back (also a Bev.Hills version, gag). That would make me buy another PAM as well. Any news from our dealers on plans for these?

I'd love them to rep this (I want one SOOOOOO bad), but I'm not holding my breath - especially given the fairly crummy job they did on the 305 (which is basically the same watch in SS).

Another great post I missed yesterday.

I am partially awake today and need to start back tracking.

This watch is gorgeous. I love the green and bronze combination.

I think with aged patina on the watch, the vintage strap will look stunning.

Also, did I read that right - 7.9 mm thick? That is a really thin watch.

Beautiful watch and great photos.

These large photos are just amazing...love to see the detail.

Thanks Baldrick ! :)

I doubt this one will be a rep any time soon...but it is a real beauty.

I like the colors alot. Most people would assume that's Rose Gold I bet.

Cheaper than a solid RG watch at any rate.

13¾ lignes, 7.9 mm thick,
That's the movement thickness Aren, not the case thickness, movements are usually gauged by a unit of measurement known as "ligne" ( Pr. lean ) :boobies:

Strangely enough, I posted the thread, but I don't like it, JMO B)

I do, 'tis lurvly :boobies:

Not usually into bezel Pams at all but that is one hell of a watch.

WTF does it weigh? Bronze ain't exactly light.

Thanks for the reply Baldrick. So, when thickness is stated, it is only the movement.

Good to know.

The weight is a good questions Col. I bet it's heavy.

I found a review of this watch here:

http://www.watchtime.com/2011/01/sihh-pane...E2%80%93-47-mm/

Apparently, it won't even be available in the gen. market until August 2011.

Limited edition of only 1000.

How ever do you find this stuff Baldrick?
