Kcore 0 Posted January 5, 2016 What the heck, might as well join in For me, I like the unusual, a watch that's different, a watch that's unique and that's what attracted me to AP, both ROO and RO. The octagon bezel, the wonderfully different tapisserie dial, and the inner bi-directional bezel on the ROOS. I also found the ROOS to be very wearable at 42mm. I also find enough differences in the looks of the various models of the ROOS and RO to keep my interest. Presently I own a 2 ROOs and 2 ROs. The ROOs are a diver and a Don Ramon. The ROs are both 15400. One in SS on bracelet, the other RG on croc belly strap.

trksh-bzr 3 Posted January 5, 2016 Is it their infinitely endless similarness? sarcasm sensed. like many brands, there is a strong line going through all the models. I guerss that's even why they are all called the same name. go figure. panerai have the same look across models. same goes for rolex. Who me? 35 yrs come on if it was a car we'd all be Morse or Roy Cropper!! I will leave it to sales numbers, and continued price levels to do the argument Not much fun in that besides, if one thinks that the royal oak hasn't been re-think'ed, I agree, and I'm happy about it. When Gueit came up with the idea for the beast offshore, back in the beginning of the 90's, noone believed such a large luxury watch coud sell, but it did. just as when Genta drew the original in 20 years before that. Both times in front, innovative, and dary. If you are thinking that royal oak is repetition, then just look at the offshores, that's where space for experiments are at. The VW beetle was made up untill the 90's AFAIR, I guess because they could still sell it in high volume, in south america. same thing. That's better. A garbling justification is much funnier. Just tuggin' ya chain bud. Of course it's a classic design and that's why it has lasted so long. no sweat. I knew you were kdding right from the beginning . GenTLe 1,509 Posted January 5, 2016 I like the 15400, the divers and the 42mm ROO, but can't make myself to like the 44mm chrono... I find them too bulky, ungraceful ... ugly... Each their own I suppose

samweezer 0 Posted January 5, 2016 I think it's also the bit of hipster inside me as well. Like other than my Daytona PN I would never own a Rolex because they're just to common for me. I think it's the fact that every other sale on M2M is an AP and I want to be different when it comes to watches. I think that's why I'm very drawn to vintage watches for the exclusivity of them to be able to see my friends and show them a watch they've never seen before.
