MAJ75 928 Posted January 17, 2016 Hi All, Firstly hello from the UK. I stumbled into the message boards after researching buying a rep & have found that now too much time is spent reading & learning (oh & spending)! So far I have the following in my collection: Gen: TAG Carrera CV2010 Reps: Latest Noob Sub 14060 No Date Breitling Navitimer on Black Leather 41mm Silver faced Rolex DJ On the way: Omega Speedy Later this year (funds allowing) TC Sub LV IWC Portuguese 7 Days Rolex Milgauss Breitling SOHC (if there is a decent rep) What I have learnt: 1. Don't ask stupid questions where the answer already exists (use the search function) 2. Proceed into M2M sales with caution. 3. Be patient. 4. Learn to be a decent photographer. 5. That there is a great level of protection from more established members & Mods. 6. Read, read & read some more. 7. Always use TDs. 8. That at this moment I have no desire to mod or franken stuff (but that might change). 9. I don't have a yearning for loads of watches (the above list does it for me at the moment). 10. That I want to be a "proper" contributor not just a lurker, particularly once I have learned & feel I have something valid to say. Anyway all the best to fellow addictees, I am looking forward to learning more and being part of things.

greg_r 84 Posted January 22, 2016 11. Embrace the realisation that you are DOOOOOOOMED This hobby is addictive. You've only scratched the surface as yet
elp 26 Posted January 22, 2016 It's a fun hobby, but yes, also a slippery slope! There's reps, gens, vintage pieces, late night deals to snipe on eBay, etc. As Greg said, you're DOOMED .... but in good company
MAJ75 928 Posted January 22, 2016 Thanks for all the kind (&wise) words everyone.......I'll take solace that I'm among friends (who will be living with the joy & pain that our chosen hobby administers in equal measures!)
