simey83 2,046 Posted January 19, 2016 Hello all you lovely people, I am after a diver, in and around the £500 mark. I wont actually be diving but would like to use it while swimming etc. Basically a daily wearer that I can strap on and go, and not have to worry if I am called upon to save a drowning dog in Lough Neagh on my way to work..... :help3: I have been looking at the Steinhart OVM, Squale Atmos, Seiko Sumo & SKX***, Halios Tropik, Orient Mako, Prometheus Poseidon, Helson Shark Diver & Skin Diver........etc etc.. Anyone have any recommendations, hidden gems or places I should be looking? I would like to be able to wear it casually too, so nothing too mental Also nothing too big, under 44mm would be ideal. Any help/ideas would be much appreciated. Cheers Simey

TheSav 2 Posted January 19, 2016 The Helson skindiver is a great watch and fits the bill nicely. I have one and love it. Looks good on a range of straps and natos and can fit many occasions. The Prometheus is also a good choice and they make a great product. Not so versatile a watch in my opinion though. I'd suggest checking out the the SBBN seiko range if you want something a little toolish or even stretch the budget a little more towards a Longines Legend Diver. Love the skindiver but I don't see many about! I'll have to keep my eyes peeled! Cheers.

jmshen 0 Posted January 19, 2016 A buddy has the Halios Delfin and it's a beauty. Very solid construction and great style. He raves about it non-stop. I imagine the waiting is the worst part.

Daffy 105 Posted January 19, 2016 I got a Steinhart ovgmt would definitely recommend both the watch and Steinhart as a brand I came here to say this very thing. The Ocean Two with the Soprod A10 movement is the smoothest I've ever seen, and amazingly accurate. I really like the look of this one, with the Soprod: Or this one, the cheapest watch on the market with this movement, and 500 meter WR:
BaggyPants 0 Posted January 19, 2016 If you aren't set on an automatic, the Citizen Excalibur is bloody good value. Eco-Drive movement, lume lasts all night, rated to ISO 6425. I've used one as my everyday watch for a couple of years now and it's not let me down. http://www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/9157318.htm
FL13 511 Posted January 19, 2016 (edited) Prometheus in yellow is on my own shortlist. There is a kickstarter for cobra de calibre ($350 us) Which I love in the California Dial. Edited January 19, 2016 by FL13
