TheOtherSide 0 Posted February 2, 2011 Hey guys, so I'm looking to purchase my first rep and I came across the Yachtmaster in one of Robert's threads, which I like. In his pictures, the dial face looks like it has a slightly tan appearance to it. I've also seen a version that has the ROLEXROLEX engraved rehaut, which I believe he stocks as well. When searching for pictures of the genuine Yachtmaster, they seem to not have the rehaut and have a sparkly silver face, not a tan face. Is this correct for the genuine version? What's the true color of the Rolesium face? Do the Yachtmasters come in different dial colors?
barkingtoad 2 Posted February 2, 2011 Roberts has a sparkly face I have one from him Roberts has a sparkly face I have one from him
TheOtherSide 0 Posted February 2, 2011 So are the reps the only ones with the ROLEXROLEX rehaut or do the gens carry this now as well?
AllergyDoc 40 Posted February 2, 2011 (edited) The newer gens have the ROLEXROLEX, so does Robert's newer YM. Either way is okay for reps because either way is okay for gens. Edit to add: I prefer the non-engraved models like mine. Edited February 2, 2011 by AllergyDoc

AllergyDoc 40 Posted February 3, 2011 AD how's the gold holding out on this rep? It's wrapped gold right? Yes, wrapped gold. Gold is in great shape. It's been polished (NOOBS: do NOT polish plated gold!) and dunked. It needs a service as it runs fast and the crown doesn't pull in and out like it used to. The gold has tarnished in places I can't get a cloth into, which is why the bezel looks a little shabby.

AllergyDoc 40 Posted February 4, 2011 I bought it from BestSwiss before I found RWG1. Same as Noel.
NFleischer 4,355 Posted February 4, 2011 Yeah, same as me Doc. Luckily; you found this place before I did. I bought a bunch of stuff from those rip off artists. I must give the Devil his due- this is a great rep, gold held up and it runs like a champ after 4 years.
