Cant understand how the GMT II works..

I do not understand how the "green" GMT hand works.

Shouldnt the watch have 2 time zones?

1. Pulled out the crown guard to the 2nd position.

I have set the normal time with the small white dials.

2. Pushed in the crown guard to the 1st position.

Set the GMT green hand dial backwards to the correct time (2 hours difference)

Normal time is 8am, green dial is showing 6am. So GMT and GMT2

Am I right guessing that the green dial should move the same way as the hour dial?

When the time will be showing 12am the gmt hand should be showing 10am?

As at the moment it looks like when the hour dial is moving the GMT dial is moving closer. When I hand set the normal time, in some positions the GMT hand meets the normal time band. For example the dials meet at 12 oclock?

The GMT hand 'tells the time' from the bezel markings not the dial. So it should run at half the speed of the hour hand and they will meet at midnight when it is 12 on the hour hand and 24 on the bezel.

Thanks, so if the dial is on the 20 of the bezel. That means that it is 8 pm?

8 AM ;)

It is 1/3rd of the way round - 1/3rd of 24 hours = 8 :)

Oh, and when you say 'dial' I think you mean 'hand'?

The dial is the face of the watch :)

The green hand revolves once every 24 hrs.

Correct... If the green hand is pointing to the 12 on the bezel (6 the dial) then it's lunch time in that time zone.

Incorrect - it is 8 AM, as per my post

Otherwise, how could it be 8pm then lunchtime when it points at the 6 on the dial? lol
