wombosi 0 Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) Although being careful, today after working on one my watches, the matte black paint on the hands of a PAM got scratched a little. I tried using the tip of a black marker, but as already expected, the ink of the marker was too glossy, so I removed that again. Any advice? There must be another solution than repainting the whole hand. Thanks in advance! Edited February 6, 2011 by wombosi
wizawuza 0 Posted February 6, 2011 I'm sure someone else can provide a better answer, but my guess is flat/matte black modeling paint applied with a wood toothpick would work? it's the same paint used on model cars etc
Wiz 0 Posted February 6, 2011 There must be another solution than repainting the whole hand. As wizawusa said, matte black modeling paint, just use a very thin paintbrush instead of the wood stick. But even if you can find the same exact color I doubt it would be unoticable. I would repaint the whole hand with an airbrush (entry level kits with air cans can be found of cheap). And if one day you scratch a ss hand: arkansas stone and drop of water to polish it again.
