Robeng 0 Posted February 27, 2016 So I recently purchased the above watch from Toro.Nothing but praise for it..true super rep. BUT...the rotor noise....worse than anything you could imagine on miyota or anything from Parnis!!!..WAS DRIVING ME FUCKING CRAZY. Don't want to oil or remove the rotor? Robengs handy tip..just stuff a tiny slip of paper folded enough for a tight fit under the rotor you can also fix it with a bit of sellotape if you want.did it 2 weeks ago hasn't moved.. no noise...just have to manual wind it. I'm starting my own workshop soon so you can mail me for my hourly rates...NOT.

Robeng 0 Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) If you can imagine great churning 19th century Industrial factory steam pumping grinding screeching steamship engine gears turning. And then multiply that by about 10x you might come near to what I experienced. All beter now though thanks to a small piece of basildon bond. GenTLe 1,510 Posted February 28, 2016 Ouch... You could have removed the counterweight. Still a crap job but at least no extraneous bits in the movement :(
emameme 4 Posted February 29, 2016 Guys when I bought this fantastic watch, there wasnt this noising sound! In the last 2 week its come out....there is a Good way for fix it? There is a screw to turn strong?
Pihlippe 1,294 Posted February 29, 2016 Don't think it helps to tighten the screw, but you can try. I had a noisy rotor on one of my watches and I lubricated the bearing with silicone grease....don't use too much though.
