tesmith2112 0 Posted February 21, 2011 I read the sticky regarding beat adjustment, however I've adjusted both arms (left and right; not sure of technical term, regulation arm perhaps..?) illustrated below to both the far left and far right position, as well as in between. Can anyone offer expert advise? It would help if you could explain what the large adjustment arm on the right and smaller one on the left do exactly. I think to increase the beat you move the large arm to the right; left to decrease. What does the smaller arm do? I'm just now starting to dive more into the technical aspect of watches, so this has been a good experience even though my efforts have been unsuccessful. wizawuza 0 Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) if it's gaining 10 minutes/day, then there's probably another problem, likely with your mainspring Edited February 21, 2011 by wizawuza
tanwill 0 Posted February 21, 2011 Yo bro.......... sad to say but you are suppose to adjust only the regulator ..... (see below) there is 2 arms , 1 arm (usually with a single knob - known as a spring stud..... leave this alone). 1 arm (usually with 2 knob - known as the regulator .......... adjust this ONLY !) Depending on the loss / gain time....... adjust it left or right .....a little at a time.
