Well after much deliberation and waking up in the middle of the night in cold sweats wondering what I should do, I've finally decided my First REP will be an Omega.

So with that decision comes the next part that neds some help from the group.

Below is the link to the watch I'm looking at getting. I like this one due to the missing Happy Feet, 42mm stock width, and well it seems to be as close to GEN as your going to get in a rep. (if others disagree I'm open to reasons why asi this is a learning time for me) Anyhow, I plan to get it with the orange numerals on face, and eventually will buy the black leather band with orange stitching.

So the question is.. Do I go with the Swiss ETA or save the $50 and go with the Asian ETA for this. Im leaning towards the Asian, as it is a rep afterall and I've heard good things about the asian version being just as good as the Swiss.. Anyhow feel free to reply or vote on my poll..

Thanks for all your help

if I were you I'd save even more money and go with Josh's PO for 128USD with high beat 21J movement

I think its a better buy than Mary's for 230USD

just my opinion though...with the money saved you could get that strap!

Thanks for the information on Josh's site. That might be the ticket but still want to feel out the group.

To be honest, I think I'd go for Narikaa's 21J PO at £65, but it very much depends on how fussy you are about this particular watch.

Note that the high-beat 21j 4813 is still less smooth a sweep than the Clone ETA.

For me, the choice would be between Narikaa's cheapie (which is an excellent watch at the price) or going for the Clone ETA version.

Thanks to all that posted and took the poll.. It appears the overwhelming consences is that I can't go wrong with either the Swiss or the Asian ETA.

I'll probably spend the cash and go for the Asian ETA... I plan for this to be a daily wearer, and would hate to buy 21j ones and month later when I've learned more hatenit due to flaws. Granted I know it's not GEN, but just knowing me I would have buyers remorse.

Thanks for all the links and tips guys and gals..

You guys ROCK...

hello,

I've tried to order from PC Josh, "Not in stock" all of them PO at 128 $ and don't be disappointed cause you could even get bully words...

Mary's a good choice and very pleasant...
