micscave 1 Posted August 18, 2016 Reading through another thread a few weeks ago I learned that Adrian of Athaya Vintage had done a second run of his Laco B-Urh type B homage, a limited run of 60. I missed out on the first run so ordered one of these straight away. The reissue has a couple improvements over the original. Heat treated blue hands & it uses the Miyota 9015 as opposed to the Miyota 8215 of the original. The watch comes in a really nice hand made leather case that looks like vintage leather, a really nice touch I think. The watch is really well made with a beautifully bead blasted case and wonderfully thick, domed sapphire crystal. The lume is also very good. The only let down in my eyes is the strap, it's okay but not great. I'd seen on Laco's site their special edition Erbstuck vintaged pieces and love the vintaged closed loop pilot strap that they come on. I've used Jose Maria of C & B straps many times to make me various straps, all of them have been brilliant. So I sent him pictures of the Laco strap I wanted him to recreate as closely as possible & I think he really nailed it, what do you think?
BadPickle 2,747 Posted August 18, 2016 Very nice mic I have one of these as a homage build, athaya case but with a molnija movement, open caseback and same hands as yours. That strap just finishes it off perfectly  Nice pick up

micscave 1 Posted August 18, 2016 Cheers Stu, yeah I love the strap, it needed something more robust and chunky than the one it comes on. Got a link to pics of yours?
