caw 0 Posted August 24, 2016 Hi All, Just looking to know if this watch is ever likely to be repped? http://www.watchtime.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/IWC_Aquatimer_PerpCalendar_560.jpg Unfortunately I don't have a spare $50k lying around to purchase a gen so would be looking to go down the rep route. However just wondering why a rep has never been produced? Anybody know (low demand? hard to recreate?) Understand this watch wont be to everyone's taste - however it is to mine and i'm sure to many other die hard IWC lovers. Cheers C
Rolexwatchman 0 Posted August 24, 2016 Probably... Not. There are reps that come and go we likely never know
onzenuub 309 Posted August 24, 2016 Chances are 50%, either it wil be repped or it wil not be repped.
RichardMiami 4 Posted August 24, 2016 That movement is too complex for reps at the moment. What confuses me about that watch... is that the Aquatimer is a dive watch.. why put all those complications on a dive watch? Makes no sense at all to me. But that's just me.. Rolexwatchman 0 Posted August 24, 2016 So the watch replicator will have hard time copy it.
caw 0 Posted August 24, 2016 Probably... Not. There are reps that come and go we likely never know Fingers crossed this one does! Chances are 50%, either it wil be repped or it wil not be repped. Its been out a few years so I am unsure if this will make it sadly. Was just looking to understand the reason really. That movement is too complex for reps at the moment. What confuses me about that watch... is that the Aquatimer is a dive watch.. why put all those complications on a dive watch? Makes no sense at all to me. But that's just me.. Thanks - had suspected the movement but wasn't sure. Yea its a "gangster" dive watch
