Phantomtech 4 Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) Hi all, I always loved the style of the 3777 Pilot's watch but I really disliked the 3 date window. When the new 3777 was announced by IWC and they eliminated the 3 dates in favor of the single date I just waited patiently for the factory to get this right. This is another great watch by ZF, looks like they pretty much got almost everything right (in my eyes)! The day and date font could've been a bit more perfect but I really don't notice the slight difference in thickness on the wrist. Maybe I will try to source the gen datewheels to really perfect this. Steve installed an AR crystal like I prefer on all my black dialed watches and now the dial looks even more amazing! I ordered a strap from Jacob but this is honestly the best quality rep strap I ever saw. I love the way they put in the effort to rep the Santoni pattern and orange back, it even feels pretty good on the wrist. I am using a ZF deployant buckle with the strap instead of the standard pin buckle that comes with this watch since the deployant just looks that much better. Anyway, enough talk. Man, if I have one complaint about this site it's that it gets me spinning around like that damn 1/6th seconds fuyoutwat hand on that JLC that other newb was just asking about. Like, 20 times already I've researched and compared and checked with TD's bc I made up my mind about the next rep I'm getting, and then I stupidly go wandering thru the review sections and I find something like this and :drool: :drool: :drool: all over my keyboard. Diver Dave 0 Posted August 24, 2017 It's funny, but after wearing Gen Rolex for decades and now a bunch of other things, one of these (actually the older 3777 with the triple-date) has become my favorite every day watch. I like it so much as a working pilot that I have thought about buying a Gen, but the fact is that the rep is so good I'm asking myself "why bother?".
