thorn697 0 Posted October 5, 2016 Hi guys, I had a sticking second hand on my 21j PO, so I decided to try removing the hands and putting them back. I was able to get the hour and minute hand put back on, but I'm struggling with the second hand. I'm having a lot of trouble getting the hand to go into the pinion. The couple times I have gotten the hand to stay on (after a clicking sound), the second hand will not tick. Is there something I'm missing? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
GenTLe 1,501 Posted October 6, 2016 Check that the pinion of the movement is still there and not snapped into the hand tube... If the hand is ok and still has its tube and the tube is empty and not sqashed, then it's just a matter of patience. Check that the "click" sound wasn't you pushing out the jewel from the other side of the movement... It may happens if you don't use a proper movement holder with pinion support...
