Genius 281 Posted October 24, 2016 fancy one of the sweeping quartz bulovas but don't wanna pay for the accutron or the precisionist .this a £100 with the correct movement what you think of it ? Looks wise I really like it... Enough that I actually tried it on in argos a couple of months back... Looks well in the store display cabinet but felt shit in the hand just not enough weight to it. I handed it straight back didn't even bother fastening the strap
KarmaToBurn 1,419 Posted October 24, 2016 I have one on leather and it's a great watch. Nice clean dial and the smooth second hand is mesmerising. For those in the USA it's available from Amazon for $114 https://www.amazon.com/Bulova-96B229-Analog-Display-Japanese/dp/B00TQHEA4U/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&tag=8013075-
tonyh7 244 Posted October 24, 2016 I like it better than most Bulovas. The only one that really tempts me is the moonie, but that's a lot more spondoolicks.
tabuktime 54 Posted October 24, 2016 I can't quite get my head around Bulovas, I don't know why though.
Walesy 0 Posted October 24, 2016 Bulova is a nice watch, I have 2 in my collection at present, both in the precisionist range. However, when i see the discounts offered you realise how much, in my opinion, they are over priced. E.g. My last one was retailing at £700...I got it discounted for £315. I bought the missus one of late aswell, she is please as punch with it.
Genius 281 Posted October 24, 2016 Damn this place! I've been considering a precisionist for ages and after this thread I've finally snapped and bought one, not the one above something completely different... Found it for a cracking price on ebay and liked the hint of cartier and need a decent dress watch

dfq23 131 Posted October 25, 2016 Always had a soft spot for Bulova. Back in thee day my mum sent off the tokens from her John Player Special packets to get me and my brother watches that had JPS logo on as she knew even then we loved watches. When they came they has run our of the JPS ones so sent us rectangle dial gold Bulovas on black leather straps. Tiny by modern standards and obviously not real gold but to eleven year olds they were the mutt's nuts
k3rm87 180 Posted October 25, 2016 Actually one of the only Bulova's I like.. nice choice.
Genius 281 Posted October 25, 2016 all leeds sad arnt we ? buying this instead now Actually put an offer in on one of those but with the blue dial http://www.ebay.co.u...K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT before I found the square one I bought, really like it but the seller would only come down to £95 which given the amount of polishing it needs to fix the scratches I felt was too much, the fucker looks like he's taken sandpaper to it
splke 4,388 Posted October 25, 2016 yep I saw that and it looked like it had been on his wrist when he got dragged down the road for 100yds ! "The watch is in excellent full working order with only normal signs of careful use" like the look of the sq one you got too I managed to get goldsmiths to price match mine so happy with that
Genius 281 Posted October 25, 2016 Yeah that description is a bit of a piss take when its clear from the photos its fucked I thought he might concede and sell it cheap but happy with the one I found its the two tone version of the one that was given away in the VIP upgrade comp that I really wanted to win.
