rusty peters 0 Posted January 13, 2017 Good morning all, I received my first PAM rep, a 112 H-factory and I really like this thing. I followed the suggestions on this forum and I ordered it on rubber and tossed the strap in the drawer while I wear it on a good leather strap. I have heard of rep rubber straps that have no smell and some that have a pleasant vanilla odor. I have never heard of a strap that smells like potting soil like mine does. Mine actually smells bad. I mean really bad. I don't mind the smell of petroleum or vanilla or rubber. The mildew/potting soil smell is a bit hard to take. Was mine stored in a questionable place for years or is this what they smell like now? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Lagger 160 Posted January 13, 2017 Be were it was stored mate, I had a leather strap that smelt awful like that, soaked it over night in mild disinfectant and it took 80% of the smell away Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
