GT86 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Just fell in love again with yet another IWC piece! 'The Jackie Chan', noticed it new on Toro earlier > http://www.tb-688.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2381 I will be buying this as soon as my 'Mrs. Ban' lifts! :P What are people's thoughts on it? Pic of Gen: Cheers
Thelittleprince 2 Posted February 13, 2017 I loved Jackie Chan growing up! So my say is go for it! Lovely watch as well
MAJ75 963 Posted February 13, 2017 Saw this last night as well, another cracking colour combination especially for smart/formal occasions. If I ordered another it would be a toss up between this & the panda dial which also looks really sharp.
myaz 3 Posted February 13, 2017 I like pandas in general and this one is no exception. Warm gold with black is classy.
GT86 0 Posted February 13, 2017 I loved Jackie Chan growing up! So my say is go for it! Lovely watch as well Oh I will! I just need to hit a magic number in savings for our wedding. Should nail that in 6 months! I loved 'The Drunken Master' too! Saw this last night as well, another cracking colour combination especially for smart/formal occasions. If I ordered another it would be a toss up between this & the panda dial which also looks really sharp. Agree. The Panda looks really sharp too. This nails a panda element for me with the subdials
rikracy 1,715 Posted February 13, 2017 I also spotted it on Toro's site....very tempting!
GenTLe 1,523 Posted February 13, 2017 Love It but prefer the SS case
NCRich 14,154 Posted February 13, 2017 Panda in stainless looks nice. Not familiar with this movement and Toro is kind of cryptic. Custom Designed Slim Asian Automatic Chronograph Movement
Thelittleprince 2 Posted February 13, 2017 Probably need to to let something go to get it without intrupting the wedding funds :P Congratz Btw!
GT86 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Panda in stainless looks nice. Not familiar with this movement and Toro is kind of cryptic. Custom Designed Slim Asian Automatic Chronograph Movement Great point! I assumed being ZF would've just meant 7750? Goes to show one should never assume and drool over pictures! I'll message Toro for a bit more info and post back. While I'm here I may as well share my current IWC lineup, I intend to add a black Blig Pilot and this 'Jackie Chan' + some high end straps to complete the set. I have said this before but, if someone held a gun to my head and said 'you can only wear 1 watch brand for the rest of your life...' It would have to be IWC! First world problems! Selling a load of reps recently on here! Surprised you hadn't noticed
GenTLe 1,523 Posted February 13, 2017 Panda in stainless looks nice. Not familiar with this movement and Toro is kind of cryptic. Custom Designed Slim Asian Automatic Chronograph Movement It is the latest incarnation of a kind-of 7750. The sec at sec doesn't use transfer gears starting from the sec at 9 pinion anymore. It takes the motion directly from the main gear train, hence much more reliable. On RWI there is a full teardown

They used to be much thicker which was the biggest tell.

MAJ75 963 Posted February 13, 2017 Love the RG Spitfire that is my second favourite after the Portuguese. I was reading that these are becoming more difficult to source so I may have to act quickly if I want one...........

Larreynaga 0 Posted February 16, 2017 I love the Portuguese overall, but I think that if I were to buy one, I'd go for the classic feel of white face blue numbers or grey/silver. It's a beautiful watch; I'm just biased against gold =P
