BASELWORLD 2017

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd create a thread to discuss the watches from Baselworld 2017, I've just seen the new Tudor Black Bay Chrono and must say it looks great

Bit of a rough pic but only just been unveiled...

I hope it's not repped with the A7750 timebomb chrono.

Hopefully a nice handwind should do the trick, don't know if it's possible with the date

I love a tudor chrono.... But just not that one

The design of the watch is nice but the hour hand is not right for that model too much else going on for the big "snowflake" also not totally sold on the round hour markers

Haven't seen many rumors outside of the Rolex releases, looking forward to see what everyone else is up to!

I agree with you on the snowflake hand, a nice smaller style, even sword like would look better

Not a lot of choices: if it'll be a 7750 it will have sunken date. If it's a Venus handwind, then it will have wrong pinions and no date. The only proper choice would be a 7753, but does this Tudor have the quick date set pusher @10?

Article says "as a foolproof date that can be adjusted at any time." so I asssume this must mean a quick set pusher, though maybe not at 10

I think it just means you won't break it changing the date too near midnight

James.

Hideously, vomit inducing, ugly watch that tudor, as is the SS bezel black bay. Just a bunch of yuck this year from tudor. The well has run dry for them, flogging the black bay horse.

Speedy 60th anniversary... popcorn time, and rail master.

Rollie.... who the shitballs knows. Sea dweller 50th anniversary, please have a red liner. Wtf could the chrono be???

Busy bezel + illegible subdials = no go.

I mentioned this on rwi as well, but isn't it weird that the snowflake takes up so much of space on the dial, almost covering an entire subdial?

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration! You could say the same for hands that cover a date window on a watch.

At least the snowflake hand is easy to see. ;)
