It should be a screw off.

Roll some duct tape up, sticky side out, into a ball. That normally unsrews that sucker off!

It unscrews. You may manage it with a ball of duct tape - it depends on how tightly it's been closed. Alternatively you'll need a proper caseback tool for the purpose.

Col has them in the RWG shop here: https://shop.homage-watches-guide.com/index...mp;productId=43

Warning - you can get cheaper Rolex caseback tool sets for less on eBay, but the cheap ones tend to damage the back

I use a hammer and a cold chisel, takes a bit of prying and banging, but it always comes off.

JohnG has his own particular style when it comes to wanking. :yoda:

Be warned..I have seen some VERY cheap Rolex reps, where the caseback was a snap off, even though it looked like a screw back.

If you have been unscrewing for a while, and appear to be getting nowhere, have a look for a snap off lip around the outer circumference of the case back!

Not seen too regularly, and only on very cheap reps.

Does this tool have a die to fit the DSSD? I keep reading that size is harder to find?

There are a bunch of different size dies to open Rolex cases. Maybe 6 or 8. I've yet to see a rep Rolex that can't be opened with duct tape though. You guys are way over thinking this. Get some duct tape and try it before you get all squirrelly and and start buying expensive tools that you'll probably never use again.
