JohnG 41 Posted March 25, 2011 It has long been rumored that Josh (and perhaps Andrew as well) pay part of all of the operating costs at RG, or alternatively, have paid them on ocassion when hosting fees were overdue. It is pretty certain that this has happened at least a couple of times, just as JoeWatch once paid the fees (loaned the money), as did Dave123 on at least one ocassion. In any event, if true, this naturally leads to questions about bias when dealing with customer complaints, etc. If a dealer is paying money to a forum, money that no other dealer is paying, then it is not unreasonable to assume that they enjoy a special status. Again, a lot of this (not all) is mere rumor and likely we will never know the whole truth. Some ridicule them as "conspiracy threories" - I tend to take the view that 90% of the time, where there is money involved, and zero transparency, things are going to happen that not everyone would take a kind view of. That is human nature. That is one of many things I like about THIS forum - it is the ONLY forum where at the end of the year we receive a detailed accounting of revenues and expenditures and no one is berated for asking questions.
