barryny 0 Posted June 1, 2017 OK - I'm new to the forum so please don't bust my cahones yet.... I'm interested in getting a Tourbillon to add to my 2 gen watches. I have an AP Royal Oak 2 tone gold/steel auto and just inherited a circa 1960 classic Longines 14k auto with date that I added a new alligator strap to. Been binge reading a ton of the posts here and the info is invaluable (you guys saved me from the "Swiss" rep rip off thanks!).... So - I'm "concerned" that I don't see many posts from owners of any Tourbillons... Is the reason: Price @ $600-$800+? Reliability? Unable to get repairs? Etc...Etc...? Thanks for your help. boredpanda 1 Posted June 1, 2017 Welcome to rwg. Think you're on the right track with your reasons. They are expensive and very few watchsmith to fix it if it goes wrong. Not too sure about reliability tho. Heard they are reliable, but not so sure if the movement is more sensitive to damage.

barryny 0 Posted June 1, 2017 This one's been going strong now for over 3 years without problems and still very accurate keeping time: Thanks for posting. I've had my eye on this - good to hear still working well. Do you recall what movement they used and may I ask who the TD was?

Foxindebox 465 Posted June 1, 2017 Love mine! love mine too, it's a belter of a rep and as has already been pointed out, about £100k saving over gen :D It's a cracking piece and well worth the dough. I've got a prof x2 AR for a 15400 that I'm going to try to fit (if it's the right size).
