Balad1 0 Posted March 31, 2011 If this thing IS 51mm, it's a monster...found this pic comparing it to another (more reasonably sized) Oris dive watch. Damn that is a big MoFo when compared like that! I bought a 50mm Parnis (U-Boat) that I never wear because it's so huge but why should that stop me from buying another that I won't wear either? Da PS: I wonder what size that other Oris is? Baldrick 1 Posted March 31, 2011 FFS, it's 51mm x 21.10mm thick, I know because i measured it and weighed it, if you have a puny wrist like the guy in the photos it's gonna look ridiculous, if not it'll be Ok. I can't comment on TS or anyone other dealers but Narikaa's is the mutt's nuts !

surfer2278 0 Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) Just my noob opinion, but the diver in Timeshops' photo seems different from Baldrick's version. The latter having a larger pearl, larger bezel font and the indices look to be longer. Edited March 31, 2011 by surfer2278

The latter having a larger pearl, larger bezel font and the indices look to be longer. Yup, you are right, hope this doesn't turn out to be a "mini" version, I will be pissed. Since it put "Carlos Coste", I assumed the dimensions listed were incorrect too, hope that is the case....
JohnG 41 Posted March 31, 2011 Well the more I look at it, the more I think it is a reworked Carlos Coste rep - made to look like a ProDiver. Fuck. Well, I think I will wear it anyway, white dial will look cool in any event. And when the big ass one becomes available, I will buy THAT and sell this one.... Ask Mike about his new titanium Breitling I bought from him , sorry being an asshole again... PS: No matter what it's a nice looking watch and the price is cheap. After comparing the photos, I concur...it does look like a Pro Diver/Carlos Coste amalgamation. And I bet it's smaller than 51mm. It's still a nice looking watch. And for $108.00 it still sounds like a pretty good buy. But I'll be in line to buy the big ass one too!

You're not stealing my rifle idea are you? I'm thinking a .50 cal Sniper Rifle for home defense would be popular in Europe like here in the U.S.
mulder 0 Posted April 1, 2011 50BMG for home defense? Gezz just use a shotgun. Saiga would be my preferred shottie. Other than that a Taurus Judge with 410 Winchester Home Defense Shot Shells in it. OUCH!!!!

Balad1 0 Posted April 1, 2011 Kenny, I guess the TS version isn't 51mm like the rep Baldrick has. So I guess we're learning there is more then one version.

I agree, I like the white face version that John bought but when I can buy the 51mm in the future I will go with black. Probably when we can get the 51mm version, it will be black only. Someone asked if this is 41mm, no I think it is 44mm just like it says on the site. I think this is a Carlos Coste case that they put a different bezel/dial on. They changed the pushers too, but they are not the monster fat pushers like on Baldy's. Also, the black part of the bezel is not at thick as baldy's. It is a sexy watch anyway, but I really wanted 51mm. Hell, if I like the white mini one a lot, I will keep it anyway, but I have to have a 51mm Now I have to sell a watch or two before this one arrives, or the gf is going to bitch at me. We have an "agreement" now, I don't buy any more watches unless I sell some. Sell a watch, buy a watch. I have too many she says.
KeNnY 29 Posted April 1, 2011 " Sell a watch, buy a watch. I have too many she says. rolleyes.gif" this sounds familiar to me also good thing is that I have now "only" 3 watches (Ceramic Sub, DSSD and Ploprof) and WTB U-Boat U42, Oris ProDIver, Bretiling Skyland Avenger, PAM286J and Omega Railmaster
Baldrick 1 Posted April 1, 2011 We have an "agreement" now, Yeah, she tells you what you can buy and you tug your forelock and say 'yes dear" frackin' wuss ( makes a change from tugging your foreskin tho', which is prolly all she allows you to do as well ) ! :( Yes Dear, yes, I'll be thru' in a moment, just finishing something off here
Balad1 0 Posted April 1, 2011 I received an email from Mary that she is able to source both the white and black face versions of the watch. I am now trying to clarify but I believe it is the 44mm version like TS and Silix sell. The price she quoted me was below anything any of you have mentioned so far. I do not want to post the price but you can email her for a quote.
JohnG 41 Posted April 1, 2011 yeah, she just emailed me too, it is a little lower, I bet it is the same watch, let us know. I suspect we will have to wait till Reg can get more from his supplier. I hope we don't have to wait too long. I want that motherfucker. Now I have to tell poor Mary no thanks. I won't mention I ordered from Silix.

Yeah, I hated to tell her I wasn't interested unless it's the 51mm. I did ask her to keep an eye out for us though.
