JoePeace 0 Posted June 6, 2017 Hello people! I'm planning to pick up a calf leather strap for my skyland avenger. Hesitating between Bob marino Brown calf and the rep breitling brown calf. Have you guys had any experience with these straps that could help me decide which one is better quality/value? Any input will be appreciated! Thanks for your time! GenTLe 1,509 Posted June 6, 2017 Rep straps are in general crap...
greg_r 81 Posted June 6, 2017 BOB marino straps are good for the dough. The rep strap is likely to be made from the hide of the cardboard cow ;)

JoePeace 0 Posted June 6, 2017 Maybe a new contender : Hirsch liberty Any thoughts on this one against BOB?
greg_r 81 Posted June 6, 2017 Hirsch straps tend to be very good quality. Shouldn't go wrong there. The best option, however, would be to get a hand-made strap from one of our strapmakers. That way you'll end up with exactly what you want.
IrishInSingapore 0 Posted June 6, 2017 Not a Breitling rep strap. I got one free with a watch and it lasted a grand total of 3 days on the wrist before the stitching came undone.
NFleischer 4,355 Posted June 6, 2017 Some of the rep Pam straps are of, Asso is probably the best.

I got one free with a watch and it lasted a grand total of 3 days on the wrist before the stitching came undone. I've got it from Toro a while back on a rep crock strap and it held up for me quite well but didn't find it heaps comfortable to be honest.
Left Coast Guy 24 Posted June 6, 2017 I've had mixed luck with Bob straps.....some have been decent, some have been cheap looking. Still I've yet to find one that really blew me away as gen-like or impressive. Whereas everything I've gotten from strapmakers on the board has blown me away. Jon's Bond Tailored are my personal favorite -- they ooze luxury and he sources some interesting skins, that really pop. But I'd go with Nero straps for a PAM, as the character in his straps can't be matched.
