austinsom 47 Posted July 12, 2017 Not sure if anyone has seen these before, but these look interesting. Not a true smartwatch, but enough features to perhaps be helpful if you need your watch to tell you stuff because you can't be arsed to pick up your 'phone. Looks quite smart too. Better than an actual 'smartwatch'. It still looks like a watch, and should still work in 18 months! Price. I'm not so impressed. https://www.kronaby.com/

Yeah, it's not the first smartwatch concept that has claimed to be generating its own power. The Element1 is one such watch which I don't think was successful with only 7% backing in its igg campaign, whose battery was charged using kinetic energy like the Sequent. Here's another smartwatch, the MATRIX, where it has been successfully funded with 900% response and looks to be on track for release in October of this year. Theoretically, I found a thread on quora where the possibility of building a self winding smartwatch is being discussed. Interesting read at least. https://www.quora.com/Would-it-be-possible-to-build-a-self-winding-smartwatch
