Wanna help me pick out a new watch?

Recommended Posts

edwelly

Ok guys – I am looking for a new watch and I was hoping you guys might be able to give me some suggestions on certain watches out there that would fit my criteria.

- Nothing bigger than 44mm, preferably 40-42mm

- Light weight

- Wears well with brown and black

- Rubber band

- I do not care about working chrono’s or calendars. If there are on the watch, great, but they don’t have to work.

- Looking to spend as little as possible at this time

About me. I work in IT as a network admin and I want a daily wearer. Something that would most likely be worn 4-5 days a week. I generally wear khaki pants and a polo. Given that I work in a semi blue collar environment, a Rolex isn’t what I am looking to wear.

Watches I do like: Breitling Blackbird (too expensive), LOVE Omega’s, Oris and Tag

Thanks everyone for your help.

Erik

I really like that but it is around $348. Need something less expensive.

Narikaa usually has them at around 110 USD + shipping. Robert usually has them too but I can't remember his price.

As suggested above, you can't go wrong with a Chopard Mille Miglia, you can mix'n'match with brown black and rubber straps, available around the $100+ mark, it's well finished and isn't a screamer, classy enough for formal and chilled enuff for casual wear, good choice.

who don't you go for a 42mm Omega PO.

or even if you wear Khaki's i think Panerai is the way to go.

BR-02 is maybe another option.

the omega and B&R can be had on rubber strap which would go more with your look

I am not trying to say anything bad about Timeshop here. I am just trying to understand how all of this works. I currently found 2 Chopard's on Timeshop's site that I like, but they are around $68-$78. Should this low price be of concern?

Again, still super new here so if my question is out of line, please let me know and I will remove it.

Baldrick, you are an artist.

Or, you atleast know something about art.

Whenever you post pics, they're (almost) always pure works of art.

Thanks for sharing :)

http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum...?showtopic=7775

As opposed to the Chopard model?

i like the one you posted for one main reason..... QUARTZ!!! they do not die, tell the best time you can get (go ahead and argue that, aside from my DSSD, but that's a freak thing)

but your choice is a great one. as long as you now what the mille millia is!!!!!!!

I am a network admin also and wear a gen tag aqua racer automatic, noticed it's getting a little beat up, so bought two omega reps and they will become my daily beaters. I think I saw Robert has a omega po pro for 99.00, I'll see if I can dig up the link.

Throw rubber on this and you would be good to go.
