alw 0 Posted April 14, 2011 Any suggestions? How would Panerai 22mm straps fit?
Legger 0 Posted April 14, 2011 My suggestion would be not to bother. I tried one on leather and it looked pretty bad. The bracelets are good quality. If you do decide you want to, the lugs are 21mm so it might be a bit of a squeeze but not too bad being rubber.
alw 0 Posted April 14, 2011 Yes, leather is a big no-no on DSSD but I think rubber would work.
trailboss99 994 Posted April 14, 2011 Yes, leather is a big no-no on DSSD but I think rubber would work. Bullshit! And it's waterproof enough to swim in. You could also try shark skin.
KeNnY 29 Posted April 14, 2011 Col. post your DSSD on leather, I think it looked nice... all you who disagree, you a re WRONG ! THe best option for DSSD would be NATO STRAP ! And the best NATO strap will be with nice thick 5 lock system, as pictures here. It looks AMAZING ! and now other pictures with alternative straps Damn, I so WANT to wear my DSSD now !!!! Thanks Col. you were faster than I have asked you !!!!
KeNnY 29 Posted April 14, 2011 COl. BTW you still didn' change the buckle on your strap, so it will fit nicely without the gap !!!!
Tristan123 0 Posted April 14, 2011 they really do look good on the 5 ring nato in the first picture
KeNnY 29 Posted April 14, 2011 they really do look good on the 5 ring nato in the first picture yes I think Also, the Green lime color strap and 5 rings, cools amazing on DSSD ! Soooo NAVY style BABY ! Just wait when balad camomes here, he will buy it ASAP !
trailboss99 994 Posted April 14, 2011 Oh I like that! Yes, NATO and DSSD go well but you need a thick NATO or it looks silly. Carbon Fibre is another good choice. Col.
Tristan123 0 Posted April 14, 2011 does anyone have a link to where to get the 5 ring green strap from,, i want one

When the watch is thick, it should also have thick strap. Tristan123 you better search with your friend google.. But I think I once was on one site, where they had the exact thick nato like on picture for price around 20-30USD ?

Ska 11 Posted April 14, 2011 ask and you shall receive! Ebay High Quaity Uren 5-way Nato Strap
Luto 0 Posted April 14, 2011 I tried mine on a leather and didn't like it. I think a NATO is the way to go - I really don't like the tapered/skinny design of the bracelet it just unbalances the look of the chunky watch.
Luto 0 Posted April 14, 2011 btw, if you are uk based, i can recommend timefactors for nato/rhino straps - the quality is very good, even if the choice isn't that wide.
trailboss99 994 Posted April 14, 2011 You want NATO? Go Maratac every time! http://www.broadarrow.net/maratac.htm They supply the UK Army as well as others. They also have the correct "bond" strap. Col
Legger 0 Posted April 14, 2011 The nato straps do look good and so does the oiled leather. Must have just been the black leather I tried that didn't work.
KeNnY 29 Posted April 14, 2011 i will one time try also oiled leather but black one and we will see how it will turn outs SKA you are LE GEN DA RY mate !! THanks ! And also thank you Col. I couldn't remember the right name for Maratac

I couldn't remember the right name for Maratac KeNnY, because of Hulk-arms, you should go for maratac! The straps in ska's post could be too short for you. I got both, trust me. KeNnY 29 Posted April 14, 2011 yes could be, matarac is way longer how long is the shorter version please ? If it is shorted than 20cm that I better get the matarac
amuthon 0 Posted April 14, 2011 yes could be, matarac is way longer how long is the shorter version please ? If it is shorted than 20cm that I better get the matarac Maratac is the lower one, only about 3 cm longer, but position of hardware makes it appear longer. KeNnY 29 Posted April 14, 2011 Maratac is the lower one, only about 3 cm longer, but position of hardware makes it appear shorter. Great picture mate ! Thank you for that. I don't know, what is better to wear it, what do you think, witch is better, the shorter or the longer version ?
amuthon 0 Posted April 14, 2011 I like to wear it like this: when the strap goes way back in the buckle. (sorry for weak explanation) would be no way for you with the non maratac, I guess.
alw 0 Posted April 14, 2011 Ok, that's all very well and I think I have a suitable Nato available, but still no rubber suggestions? PO strap in black?
