debian 0 Posted April 16, 2011 Why is the seiko SKX007K2 so cheap? What is the catch? I think it looks pretty nice....
jameo210369 0 Posted April 16, 2011 How much are you being quoted, depending on the seller you can get it for around $180 to $240. Really nice looking watch though.

jameo210369 0 Posted April 16, 2011 Just been checking it out, I do like Seiko. Are you going to buy it?
debian 0 Posted April 16, 2011 No, I'm not going to get it right now... maybe some other time. :-) I'm just curious how they can be so cheap when it look like a really nice watch.
sconehead 5 Posted April 16, 2011 ...be aware though mate, I'm sure Robert told me once that there's Seiko fakes flying about...
Takken 0 Posted April 16, 2011 No catch, it's a good watch and you get a lot for the money in my opinion. This seller is selling it for 169.99$ - No humbug there. eBay

othniel888 0 Posted April 16, 2011 (edited) We can get the Seiko you referenced under $150 in US on Amazon.com. I have several Seiko made watches and they are very dependable. A high quality but often overlooked brand in my opnion. The Seiko reps are probably just the high $ limited edition stuff. This is a 6 beats per second (low beat) movement rather than the 8 beats per second of most swiss/swiss clone movements. sixbennetts 0 Posted April 16, 2011 SKX007 is the Japanese counterpart to the US version of the same watch, the SKX173. Here is one on a Yobokies Anvil band. Stunning.

You'd be surprised - there's a lot of reps of low-end watches around (all being sold as gen, of course), so you need to be a little careful.
