LargeMarge 0 Posted April 27, 2018 Well I took the bezel off, ended up scratching the watch :( heres 4 holes. Three with springs, one near the 6 marker with something inside and I found this little guy so I’m wondering which hole he goes into https://imgur.com/a/oDTCMw1
k4jun 251 Posted April 27, 2018 Bolt in the hole around the 6 marker is a cone (it gives you a click and prevents a bezel from being bi-directional) The 3 other oval bolts keep the bezel on level. Yours is one of these oval bolts.
LargeMarge 0 Posted April 27, 2018 There was only one of those pictured, not three. I’ve looked everywhere... wtf Man oh man. How are they gone

fatarms 7,843 Posted April 27, 2018 Vacuum hose with a thin sock or pantyhose over the end of it, run it all over the carpet. Everything's gotta be somewhere
Jibuti 958 Posted April 27, 2018 sounds like sexy vacuum hose.... erm..I believe it is right solution. is this your 1st disassemble, Marge?
RollyCR 0 Posted April 27, 2018 I've used a strong magnet to find tiny lost screws in the carpet.
k4jun 251 Posted April 27, 2018 @LargeMarge you really need to find these things. Seriously, there are no aftermarket bolts nor springs. If you go to the TD - they can sell you the whole case kit, but no such small parts.
LargeMarge 0 Posted April 27, 2018 Guys, i put it back together and its just like normal. i dont think this watch had 3 of them. Because i did it on a flat open surface, if there was 3 of them, i def wouldve seen or found them. the bezel went on perfectly and worked just like it did before removing? 'Have you ever polish stainless steel before?' .... Cape Cod Polishing Cloth can get some minor scratches out ... otherwise you need to wetsand and polish. Pictures of your watch might help. Jibuti 958 Posted April 27, 2018 lux told you right-for deeper scratches first sand then polish. if you use cape cod on brushed case you will just polish it. manuals are right!

If the scratches are light and on the brushed part of the case ... you can use 3M Scotch-Brite Green Scour Pad to remove them. You scrub evenly the same direction of the brushed area. fatarms 7,843 Posted April 28, 2018 You can cape cod the brushed section and then use a scotch brite pad to rebrush it. Just tape off the polished section so you don't brush that. Or just wear it because it'll eventually get scratched up anyways
RussP 22,659 Posted April 28, 2018 Don't worry about scratches. People on forums pay extra for scratched, damaged and vandalised watches. (They get conned into believing that they're getting 'vintagised' watches and pay quite a premium for them too)
