Rav747 0 Posted April 21, 2011 (edited) Bought this watch from Mary(watchinternational) and this has to be one of my other faves. lol. Movt 6497 handwind with swan neck. Pros everything, but one thing Cons strap. Need to get a more comfy one. Any recommendations? Pams are def growing on me. It is said that, most people start their Pam addiction with either the 111 or 183 and boy, are they right. Anyways, on to the crappy pics Edited June 16, 2011 by Rav747
dingle 57 Posted April 21, 2011 nice pickup....check here for some nice gator straps that are reasonably priced...... Pam 26MM strap
Rav747 0 Posted April 21, 2011 Thanks, Ding. I really like this for the price. But what size? I have no clue what would be the appropriate combos. 26mm at the lugs/22mm at the buckle end (26/22mm) 26mm at the lugs/24mm at the buckle end (26/24mm) *Only available in reg. length 26mm at the lugs/26mm at the buckle end (26/26mm) I like some other gator ones, but a lil pricey. That is, until some funds come my way
Luthier 1 Posted April 21, 2011 26/24, then you can use deployment clasp.
Balad1 0 Posted April 21, 2011 Nice, I've got the Pam fever too, lol.
phanto 0 Posted April 25, 2011 Great choice, I have the same watch. It is very nice. I am throwing gold hands on the watch. Also looking for some aftermarket straps, does anyone have pictures to share of their 183s or radiomirs on various straps? That would be nice.
guami007 0 Posted April 25, 2011 Why did you have to post a picture of this
Rav747 0 Posted April 26, 2011 Thanks, Luth. Ted, I need to recover from this sickness, fast! Lol Phanto, that's awesome. Please do post pics when you so make that addition; would love to see it. Guami, sorry bud, I refuse to go down this path alone. Lol

That is, until some funds come my way Standard size for Radiomirs are 27/22 or 27/20 (the latter being the standard for the new style deployant clasp - the older version being 22mm) 26/22 is a reasonable compromise (27mm straps are a little hard to come by) Luth - sorry, mate, but you're wrong. There isn't a 24mm PAM deployant - the largest Panerai produce is 22mm.
wat44 0 Posted April 26, 2011 search around the fora - there are some really nice straps for sale at the moment at great prices
Baldrick 1 Posted April 26, 2011 Luth - sorry, mate, but you're wrong. There isn't a 24mm PAM deployant - the largest Panerai produce is 22mm. Only partly true Greg, Panerai may not produce a 24mm, but there are plenty of after-market / rep 24mm deployant clasps available ! TRUSTYTIME 24mm PANERAI DEPLOYANT CLASP
Rav747 0 Posted April 26, 2011 Thanks, Greg, Wat, and B. I'm def going to take look around.
wombosi 0 Posted May 15, 2011 Looks nice! And the strap you picked at the Watch Boys looks good too. Did you order it already? Love to see some updated pics upon receival. I can't really tell from your pictures: but does your 183 have a flush canon pinion? And how is the AR color? Not too blueish?
Rav747 0 Posted May 15, 2011 (edited) Wombosi, I have not ordered the strap, yet, funds are a little tight. Once I do get new straps, I will def post some updated pics. Since I am a noob, can you tell me what a flush cannon pinion is? The AR is really nice, but at certain angles there is a blueish tint. wombosi 0 Posted May 15, 2011 Thanks for the info Rav. Unfortunately I don't not have a picture of a flush and non-flush canon pinion at hand. But the canon pinion is the pinion that holds your hour and minute hands (the silver pinion in the middle of your dial). In Pam reps this is often too short, meaning that the top isn't flush with the top of the attached hands.
Rav747 0 Posted May 15, 2011 Hmm... what if I took a better pic of the watch? I kinda understand what you mean, but I don't want to give you the info. Would a better pic from directly above the watch help you?
wombosi 0 Posted May 15, 2011 A slighty sharper and lighter pic from a 45 degree angle to the dial will do the trick. Appreciate your effort Rav! You can also wait until I (or a fellow member) find the time to post a comparing picture of a flush and non-flush CP, so you know exactly what I am talking about. opus9 0 Posted May 15, 2011 if you like this type which I have just ordered then check out this guys website. His name is Eric and has some of the most amazing straps I have ever seen.
