Custom Made Homage Watches

Recommended Posts

Balad1

Recently I ordered a custom 44mm watch from Getat, designing it with all the available bells, whistles and colors I wanted.

I get an email from Tat today that the PVD gun metal colored movement I want is out of stock.

Of course who the hell knows when it will be back in stock; making me an unhappy camper.

Other than Getat and Jackson are there any other dealers that custom build Pam style homage watches with all available options at a reasonable price?

PS: Jackson's website gives me the squirts and I can't go there.

Something about an all black watch (inside/out/band/hands/buckle), superlumed with that wild dial was giving me a chub.

Now I'm Mr. Softy :-(

How about helenarou

I'll check but I was kind of spoiled with Tat's site. All the options were there on one page and you selected via drop down the various ones you wanted.

With the other dealers I'll end up having to email them my requirements and go through a nut roll with communications and such.

Unless I can find another dealer like Tat I'll probably just wait...and whine, lol.

I'll try and decode Jackson's site and see if I can come up with what I want. Getting a PVD watch is no big deal but being able to add all the other options I want becomes more complicated.

email jackson, and say i want this: blah blah blah, he will email you back the price etc. its piece of cake bro.

here is what i sent him......

i am looking for the following.....

pam 44mm luminar marina homage

Automatic movement with power reserve at 6

Brushed STEEL case

BRUSHED steel BEZEL

dark BLUE or BLACK dial SUPERLUMED (with "marina militare" or "luminor marina" written on dial)

Mineral Crystal (domed like a fiddy if possible)

Display caseback

BLUE superlumed HANDS (and a RED SECOND HAND IF POSSIBLE) (superlume is mandatory)

*no strap needed* (i have my own)

i have one question: can i have a SANDWICH dial on an AUTOMATIC movement? it seams they are only on the "hand wind" watches, and although i want automatic, if its possible i want sandwich dial too.

here is a pic of the look i like (if the case and bezel were brushed, and had blue hands)

http://www.siswatch727.com/showroom/model/...33859033817.jpg

he replied with a link, a price, and the "no can do's" of the build. and i ordered the watch. done deal.

You could always order it with the standard movement then source a pvd movement and swap it in ;)

This is the usual skeleton pvd version:

or this one is a prettier one IMO (but he's not got pvd versions listed at the moment, so you'll have to email him)

I think I'll email Jackson but if that doesn't work I'll just wait for Tat.

Lord knows I don't need too spend any more money on watches anyway, lol.

I have sent a e-mail to him too with my requirements. I have bought one jackson mini-fiddy last month, and the transaction was smooth.

I just received a reply to my inquiry to Jackson and he no longer can get the dial I want or the gun metal colored movement. So I guess it back to Tat and either waiting or selecting another movement.
