A quest to find the best 36mm rep.

Recommended Posts

I made my first purchase not too long ago - a 41mm Rolex Date Just II with clone swiss ETA.

I like this watch - after a little adjustment it keeps excellent time... but I have a problem.

The watch is a big/heavy. Although I dont have a problem with the way it looks on my wrist, I just haven't got use to it.

I've decided to find a 36mm rep - and I will have enough money ($250) to buy one in 3 weeks from today.

I'm looking for something simple and elegant and everyday. Any brand - other than a rolex.

Been searching around the forums for while, and would be nice to get some more opinions.

EDIT: spelling.

36mm? why get a rep?

Look for a 1960's Omega seamaster...lovely watch...great lines and aesthetic.

Bullet proof movement in a 562, and it will be the size you want.

can't help you...replica 41mm rolex being big/heavy does not compute in my brain.

Tie a peice of string round your arm and tell the time by the positioning of the sun in the sky. Super lightweight and 100% Gen

Don't let them bust your balls. There are lot's of nice watches in that nice comfortable size. Here's just a few of mine.

Thank you for your suggestions KBH, graman and mikemcnair.

Is that a watch Baldrick?! Or a weapon?

Anyway... the watch feels fine when I have it on, no worries.... but wrist feels a bit odd on the days that I don't have it on.

I haven't ever worn a watch before... so that could be it? Any advice?

So you feel 'naked' when you're not wearing a watch?

You will find we all feel that way :D

If you do want to get a smaller rep, look at the DJs or an Explorer 1, both are well repped :)

Not trying to bust your balls, but Casio makes some great G-Shock watches that are smaller and very light weight. Lots of mod options and Watchuseek has a section dedicated to G-Shock owners.
