I'll be a dad for the first time - looking for a watch

Here is the deal. I will be a dad for the first time in a few months and I definitely want to buy a watch to commemorate the event. What I'm looking for? Something that I can wear with a suit (my job requires that), but with some fun details. One example that I found was the speedy snoopy. While I love the front, I don't like the back at all, saw it in person on a gen and looks "cheap".

 

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks all!

Go gen for something like that. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars, there are good pieces among Seiko or other brands like Gerlach, Vratislavia, Squale, Prometheus etc.

I had the quartz snoopy- fun watch but not something I could wear daily.
Still got the shoes though

For timeless pieces, and or gifts - this 40mm is tried and true... and I wear it on a nato too...

+1 and the freckled lord knows that I'm not after gen usually.

But a nice, not usual and not expensive gen is the way to go on that, for me at least

OH, and do yourself a favour, forget watches... you wear one the first three years with your baby and it will be covered and shit, puke, saliva (from teething) and lots of nasal discharge.

Give it 5 minutes, they're a bit purple and alien looking when they first pop out.
