Hello ladies and gentleman,
today I want to share a review of my Maurice Lacroix Aikon.
It‘s the first Automatic Aikon model they‘ve made, ML used the ML 115 Kaliber movement.
The dial has a wonderful waffle pattern in diamond like shape, extremely accurate made.
the black colour of mine is very deep black, clearly deeper black than the Royal Oak.
Other colour options are white and blue, but unfortunately blue has a white date wheel.
Water resistant to 20ATM, 38hr power reserve.
Case diameter is 42mm, the Bezel has a very nice mix between brushed finish at the top surface and the sides and "claws" on the Bezel are high polished.
The brushed surfaces are beautiful fine almost silky in optic.
case thickness is just 1.1 cm and as you can see the Crown logo is perfectly aligned when completely screwed down.
the Bracelet has a pretty smart quick release system, you can remove the bracelet by using just two fingers pushing the pins together (as marked below)
These little pins have the Maurice Lacroix Logo engraved /lasered on them.
To get the bracelet back on you just need to push it in, no need to touch the pins the bracelet glides in itself.
Solid steel links milled out of stainless steel.
The bracelet is brushed with polished edges.
The production tolerances are very small and the bracelet feels very smooth on the wrist.
the clasp has the logo on the inside.
Only critic on the bracelet is that it is connected with push pins and not screws.
The sapphire crystal has an AR coating on the inside with beautiful blue reflection, but in my opinion it still reflects a little bit too much, but that‘s just me and I‘m used to Prof Steve‘s 2x AR.
In my opinion it‘s a great value you get for a very competitive price. I paid 1.600,-€ at my AD.
In the web they‘re available for a bit over 1.300,-€ with leather strap.
I‘m very happy with my purchase and hope you like my review.
