DSSD Vs Submariner

Recommended Posts

seclark007

OK:

So I see a lot of respected members here who wax poetic about their fav's. Some of you own both DSSD and Subs. I like Subs and have 1, but why do I need a DSSD too? Well, all you DSSD lovers out there - yeah KeNnY I'm lookin at you to weigh in - why is this watch so good?

Thanks for playing.....

It's like 4 cylinder car vs. V6. Different class, different beasts.

I only own the DSSD and love it; actually one of the first reps I purchased.

I'm not a massive rolex fan, but I don't mind the sub, the gmt or the DSSD.

I'd probably lean toward the DSSD for size, because I like to wear a clock on my wrist.

I DO like Rolerai's! mmmmmmmmm..

DSSD looks good, but I just dont like the black color, would buy it if it comes in blue color.

I have both. And can't say I prefer one over the other. I think I'd purchase whichever rep is closest to oem -and I'm a big lume fan.

I have both. The DSSD has much more wrist presence due to it's size but there are times that I want to be more subtle so the Sub comes into its own for those occasions.

Both look great. Buy both!

...plus the DSSD is a bit top heavy/unbalanced on the wrist...

In my point of view the DSSD is just too big and heavy for a daily watch. So would go for the SUB. (actually I have a SD, it's also a good size)

I like the DSSD because I prefer wearing a MAN's watch. I see many women these days wearing watches as big or bigger than the sub...with my girlfriend among them. :D

Sub - classic European sports car

DSSD - An American SUV. A Hummer for example.

The DSSD bracelet - it's just too girly with that taper. Sub, too small. SSD, just right. The extra thickness makes a difference, said the actress to the bishop

So far it seems the Sub is leading in votes....odd, as most comments seem to favour the DSSD.

Keep up the input, this is proving to be interesting!

My DSSD is by far my fav. It is heavy though. It actually is the only watch I've ever been complimented on.

I felt ashamed:-)

I have a Pro Hunter DSSD and a lot of subs. The DSSD is -IMO- too big and bulky for daily wear.

On the other hand the older rep (Noob subs epecially) seem to be kinda small. That's why I like the new Ceramic

or smurf subs or GMT. They about 41-42mm and perfect for me (5'7" 71/4 wrist)

If I had to choose between a Submariner and a DSSD I would choose a SD. :o
