When your ex put you in trouble (?)

Recommended Posts

So yesterday I got contacted by my ex Hungarian-blonde-bigboobs gf, on Facebook.

After a bit of chat she came up with the question she had in mind: can you suggest me a watch for a man? Ok then let's forget a "good ol'time laid down".

She is having another relationship now (and it is absolutely ok) so probably she wants to gift her man with a watch. Ok.

I asked "budget?" and she answered around 100Eur. In the end she is a teacher and has a kid to grow up, so perfectly understandable.

Therefore let's go Seiko!

Next question was about the guy's wrist: quite big. Ok then let's skip all the below 40mm cases

Ended up suggesting her this one, that on CreationWatches is at 102Eur:

Which is lovely also on military NATO:

So, you may ask, where the troubles are?

Well... Not more than 30 minutes after I ended up buying it for my self too facepalm.gif

Firstly I checked if there was something similar across our reps, but nothing with such military dial AND thin case (the most similar is a Breitling but has a more diver bulky case and I didn't want another bulky case in my collection).

Then passed my CC details over to Creation Watches.

I'm hopeless

Bought the very same piece for my nephew on his 18th - hoped it might inspire an interest in watches. Women are winning on that front at the moment.

I've a Suzuki 1000 actually. Let's leave Ducati to those who are in love with their mechanics.
About Japanese cars... Sadly they kind of lost their sights... Do you remember the Civic VTEC 1.6l 160hp? The S2000? Or the Mitsu Lancer Evo? Or the Toyota Celica? Or the sedan Subaru Impreza WRX?
They went back to reliable but BORING cars now. Very few of them are kind of attractive to me now. Q50 is one of them as I like sedan with good technology and nice look. Then I've to go Korean with the Kia Stinger. Sad.

It isn't that small that watch at 42mm (45 with crown) :) 42-44 is my sweet spot.

The Hungarian? Well she is an Italian language and history teacher, came to Italy to refresh her language skills years ago and I was lucky enough to met her ;)

Actually I also got this one, original ZuluDiver Marine Nationale nato. They have prices that can go up to  40Eur + shipping, but I managed to find them at 20€ on WatchGecko.

It should fit well with the Seiko, with the red second hand accent:

fuck it...if you are over 60 like me your 1st question is not how does this bunch of metal and rubber drift?.... in my Toyota or Lexus ONLY question is: is there enough fuel?... sad thing, I know...on the other hand, complete confidence....there is no help, kiddo...

LOL.

Well this was her on her marriage (We have been together  few years before and few years after, as unfortunately she lost her husband due to a cancer like 3/4 years after marriage):

Alex, you are a big hearted guy!

Should anyone be in your shoes,  he would probably tell his ex to fuck off:giggle:

P.S. Nice Seiko :D

I'm always nice and polite to all my exes.

The only one that remains indifferent, is the ex-wife, who I shared 32 years of my life with.

@GenTLe  :picard:

The correct response to your ex is ALWAYS: Invicta Meteroite. 50mm or larger.

Dude, it's a basic rule. You know this! You've got a lot of miles here and should know better.

I can hear the pillow talk now. Your Ex is telling her new man how small yours is compared......
