Fixing date wheel?

Recommended Posts

Distinct

Hi there, I have a Rolex GMT Master II with a poorly set date wheel. I was wondering if there is any way I can shift the overlay on the date wheel to make it sit properly inside the date window. I have Seen some of the articles on getting to and removing the date wheel, just wondering if I need to remove the date wheel or I can just lift the overlay and shift it slights, like 1-2 mm down while leaving the date wheel mechanism alone?

Thanks for any tips or for sharing any experience with doing this.

You need to take the overlay off and re-glue it. No other option. You don't necessarily have to take the date wheel off the movement to do it.
