JackassNoob 0 Posted April 18, 2019 Wear the watch a couple days and then it dies during the night. I manually wind it a few times and it starts up, runs normal again for a few days. Seems to lose a couple minutes a day. I send it off to a watch smith on the boards with a description of the issue for a rebuild/servicing for a little under $300. He sends me a pic of it partially disassembled, says the eta main spring was replaced and sends it back as a serviced watch. After I wear it a few days straight, only taking off for bed, I pick it up one morning and it dies around 3:30 in the am. I manually wind it only 4-5 winds and wear it 2-3 days before it does it again. I talked to the watch smith and he ask that I send it back, I mailed yesterday and we exchange emails where he says this sounds “normal”. Any ideas what he might need to look at? Have I wasted about $300 servicing the watch? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
