8500 Movement - Aqua Terra Omega

Recommended Posts

Bbsee

Hi all.

I'm new to the hobby and to date have bought cheaper models with movements such as the Asian 2813.

I'm looking to explore movements a little higher in class.

Question - I came across the 8500 movement, can anybody advise or share their experiences on the quality of this? It is for an Omega Aqua Terra.

Thanks.

Like most rep movements, it is a clone and could possibly fail. But the good news is that the Asian clone movements are replaceable quite cheaply.

Oh, and welcome.

@FudgyDocker thanks for the info. Do you know if this is a clone of the original Omega movement itself? Forgive me if an obvious question.

Question Miyota 8215 - I read on here that this is a workhorse however is prone to jittering if the hand is heavy. Can anybody share experience with this movement, and whether an Omega Aqua Terra would be a suitable model for the movement.

Thanks!
