pfcdre 0 Posted May 17, 2011 Actually, a couple of the more professional watch smiths have done some research on the A7750 and say that it's a fine movement overall. It just comes from the factory with too much dirt and lack of oil. There's a couple of write ups from Ziggy and Franscisco that can be found on other forums. The only real problem is the winding gears, and they are also a problem on the ETA movements, although not as bad. Thats good to know Kbh i just have to find somewhere to service cheers
GC 4,532 Posted May 17, 2011 I only use the chrono function on one watch... an AP quartz with sweeping chrono hand to offset the ticking small sec @12 apart from that... nope
JohnG 41 Posted May 17, 2011 I heard all of the watches that smoola ordered were chronos.

Del 4,528 Posted May 18, 2011 I don't use the chrono on my Skyland in case I fuck up the 7750 movement - checked it worked when I first got it but haven't used it since. If I need to time something I look at the time at the start then look at the time at the end and then utilise some brain cells! However, if I really need to time something accurately then I wear my gen quartz Tag Chrono Aquaracer.
stolikat 1 Posted May 18, 2011 I have never had problems with using the chrono's on any of my A7750's. I think it is a very reliable movement. I say using them is better than just letting those gears not turn at all.
