GC 4,512 Posted May 24, 2011 Where can I buy a new Swiss Val 7750 balance spring (part 721 in diagram)? I'm thinking of changing this spring in an A7750 to see if it will help with the reliability of a sec@12 movt I have. Any help would be appreciated B) Diagram

GC 4,512 Posted May 24, 2011 Ahhhh.... ebay, why didn't I think of that? Ofrei sells them for $75, see that's why i ask you fellas B) Hoping the Gen Swiss Balance can add some reliability to the more demanding sec@6 & Sec@12 movts i have been experiencing movt stops... what do you "in the know" people think? Would the Gen Val Balance have a stronger balance than the Asian ones found in the A7750s. I'm thinking along the lines of the balance is the heart of the movt so a stronger balance might help with the issues the added gearing and friction. what say you? ThinkBachs 1 Posted May 24, 2011 It certainly makes sense to me. If things are 1:1 compatible, then it seems like a worthwhile project. Take lots of pics!
