The Monaco has actually always been in the background but I didn’t want to complicate the thread at the start! I suspect the thread will go tits-up now though.... It was a toss up when I bought my gen 16610 back in the late 90s and the Monaco. Tag had just reissued the Steve McQueen model. This rolls everything into one for me as I am a big Steve McQueen fan, and you know my love of Porsches and motor racing, thus LeMans is a favourite of mine featuring all of the aforementioned along with McQueen wearing the original Monaco. The only Breitling I like is the SuperOcean Abyss 44, mainly because of it’s silly 60s Apollo bezel font. And I’m getting the Noob version of it on Wednesday via some hot watch-swap action so I'm all excited.
