„Brothas & Sistas“

Recommended Posts

FelixS

Hi all,

I don‘t know whether it is welcome or ok just to strt a new thread as a newbie (or such a thread already exists [didnt find any] - if not please delete @ mods) ... ;)

... but do you know the feeling when you like a watch(model) so much that you order it twice (or more) in different colors during time?

So did I  several times and I am sure, you also did anytime :)

I just make the beginning of „brothas & sistas“ :

IWC Annual Calendar - both YLF with gen Santoni straps:

Nice pair! I'm more of a blue dial brown strap guy myself. The black rep straps just don't do it for me. The brown has a lot more character, but they are both beautiful pieces. I wouldn't kick either one out of my watch box. :)

I've done this! But with much less expensive watches. Very nice IWC's I have the ZF Annual Calander

Yeah, the brown strap makes definitely „the difference“ ;)

love this brown strap with its stitching - it is my absolute favourite strap of all straps I have (ok, except a gray gen JLC strap :D )

@FelixS That's a tasteful collection for someone new!

I like your style, go big or go home indeed!  And collecting the pricier reps in sets as well :thumbsup2:

I balance my pathological indecision with cheapie reps in sets.

The Daydates. I just realised I mixed the modern and the vintage ones together....oops

Very nice :)

I think for people who don’t plan to Franken or are really „inTo“ movements, repairing  or modifying a watch it doesn’t always have to be a ARF, noob or something else expensive.

I like to look at my watches and wear to a suit or pullover or ... always the suitable watch - that is enough for me :)

Not only brother and sister:

But also the next generation (which, as far as I know, has nothing to do with any questionable behaviour of brothers and sisters!):
