Simonix 8,481 Posted June 18, 2020 I acquired this lovely 341 Egiziano Titanium 47mm from our very own @hasel5 recently. It is a beast of a thing, and right up my alley, being a Panerai! Anyway, As lovely as it was when I received it, I decided that the "vintage" style look of the lume and case needed a bit more of a patina/aged look. This is how it was when I got it in the post. After this, I removed the movement from the case and roughed up the bezel and case with some 1200 grit paper. Following this, I then polished it with some buffing wheels. Not to a mirror finish, but to give a more "worn" look. I then removed the hands and dial from the movement, and lightly rubbed the dial in a cicular motion with the same 1200 grit paper. This left a bit of grey residue on it from the watch case, which helped "age" the dial. I then split the top dial away from the lume plate underneath. I decided to sprinkle coffee grounds on the lume, then blowtorched the granules. Only a quick "flash off". Then with some water, I wiped the coffee off, which left some nice brown patches to the lume. Put it all back together again, and the results are shown below. Nice watch, all the same @Simonix They made them in 60mm, 52mm, and 47mm in reps as far I have seen. The gen is 60mm as you say. Like your black one!
