Radio room dials were implemented in the early 1900's to allow emergency radio transmissions by ocean-going ships to be heard. The red shaded area are the no radio chatter times. I have one bezel and insert from one second closer. And I have factory see thru casebacks. Also ordering additional bezels and hands.
