Foxindebox 472 Posted January 16, 2021 This punches WELL above its weight. Fit and finish are superb. Silicon balance and 70hr power reserve.
Pesman 9,461 Posted January 16, 2021 Whilst I totally accept that some luxury gens offer better value than others, the hope with this thread was to focus on those smaller, cheaper brands who are selling fantastic quality watches at great prices... as such I've amended the title to make it a little clearer...I am loving discovering brands I've never heard of and recommendations to enable us to sort out the wheat from the chaff... I love my Casioak, but part of the criteria was having a quality strap and sadly Casio 'rubber' straps are utter filth; seemingly made out of those recycled yellow plastic eggs inside a Kinder Egg. Agree about the cheap plastic Casio bands, but I'm thinking for my next project:- https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/ga-2100-casioak-metal-case-mod.5217304/ Just a shame they never made a solar version of the CasiOak. My favourite cheaper brands; Victorinox. Spinnaker. Deep Blue, also Air Blue. Of course Casio G-Shock steel series. Last off all, you shouldn't rule out Invicta. Granted some of their creations are garish, but their cheap auto divers are remarkable value.

Genius 281 Posted January 16, 2021 My top picks Seiko (obviously king of bang for buck) Chris ward (in the sale, never pay full price) Squale Steinhart Yema (again at sale prices although even full price can be a decent proposition) Oris (but seems they are trying to position it as a higher end so there are a lot of more expensive models now)
